On 7 July, 2015, the International Institute for Environment and Development hosted a seminar on the benefits and challenges of locally controlled enterprises for forest peoples, led by IIED's forest team co-leader Duncan Macqueen and Joji Carino, director of the Forest People's Programme (FPP):
